On|Off in Partnership with Land Rover, featuring Range Rover Evoque
We’re excited to announce that On|Off’s launch and Paris preview will open London Fashion Week 2012 with an event hosted in partnership with Land Rover. This exclusive event, taking place on February 16th, will reveal the On|Off Fanzine Issue 2 as well as five short films created by unique collaborations between world-class fashion designers and film directors. Guests at the event will also be present to witness the awarding of The On|Off Land Rover Visionary Winners.
Being premiered at the event is the short film animation that has been created by director Alex Robinson of Sherbert, which features the Range Rover Evoque morphing into catwalk beauty and wife of Rankin, Tuuli. We’re excited to be able to reveal this animation to readers of our blog. Click below to watch it and let us know what you think of it below in the comments box.
For those unfamiliar with On|Off, it is the UK’s original, independent fashion showcase. It was first launched at London Fashion Week 2003 and uniquely bridges the gap between on and off schedule designers, showcasing their collections and pushing the boundaries of contemporary exhibition space.
The first On|Off Fanzine issue was produced in September 2011 and partnered young fashion designers with emerging photography talent selected by Rankin and Tuuli. 1,500 limited edition copies were distributed throughout London and Paris Fashion Weeks.
This season, On|Off, Land Rover and the renowned duo will be supporting Fashion Film. On|Off has selected some of the most exciting international designers, including Charlie Le Mindu, Yang Du, Bernard Willhelm, Andrea Crews and Alex Noble. These five leading designers will work with directors selected by Tuuli and Rankin, including Zoe Hitchen, Konstantinos Menelaou and CDBG/La Compagnie Du Bon Gout. Tuuli will work on the creative direction of all films.
The films will make their debut at the exclusive party on the 16th February entitled ‘Stroboscopic’ hosted by On|Off in partnership with Land Rover.
