The Land Rover and Range Rover Weekly 21

In this week’s round-up of all things Land Rover and Range Rover, a Defender big-foot is spotted in Finland, the new Range Rover TDV8 Westminster edition is announced and a Land Rover Festival in South Africa attempts a new world record.
This week, Piston Heads spotted a few Land Rover Defender Bigfoots (see below) in the inhospitable terrain of Finland. This modified vehicle with a combination of 38-inch wheels and tyres is built by Land Rover Special vehicles and used as part of the Nordic Adventure programme, which is currently in full swing.
In celebration of the 10th Anniversary of the Range Rover L322, we were pleased to announce the introduction of the Range Rover TDV8 Westminster to the current model range line-up. This new edition adds even more presence to the Range Rover’s famous exterior features with a bright finish to the front grille and side vents, the fog lamp surrounds and the bumper “splitter bar”. Enhancements in the cabin include a luxurious full Oxford leather interior in a choice of five colourways featuring heated/cooled front seats with memory function plus heated rear seats as standard. Further standard features include the outstanding 1200W harman/kardon® LOGIC7® Surround Sound Audio system and a dual view Touch-screen display.
Turning now to overseas, The Land Rover Festival in South Africa is attempting to claim a new Guinness World Record for the most Land Rovers on parade. The current world record is a massive 348 vehicles. They are encouraging all Land Rover owners to join in and be part of this record breaking attempt on March 4, departing from Land Rover Vereeniging.
To end this week’s round-up, we’ll leave you with this very unique 90th Birthday cake, made by Kirsty McCargs of Kirsty Cakes . The cake features a 100% edible Land Rover vehicle and Westie dog. Remember, if you have any Land Rover stories or photos you’d like to share, e-mail us at uk.landrover (at) googlemail.com to get featured in our weekly round-up.
