The Land Rover and Range Rover Weekly 7

classic range rover blog photo

In this week’s top stories we take a look at some great vintage Range Rovers, user generated videos and a tribute to the Land Rover Defender.

To ignite your interest this week we wanted to share a post from the Land Rovers Only forum, where ‘lukeisaduke’ asked fellow members to upload pictures of their classic Range Rovers and to give an insight into their thoughts, plans and aspirations for their vehicles. Lots of people responded and we think you’ll enjoy checking them out. If you have any of your own classic photos please email them to uk(dot)landrover(at)googlemail(dot)com, we would love to find out about the story behind yours.

Last month, Land Rover USA launched an assignment for fans to create their own 60-second advert to showcase the key benefits of Land Rover’s vehicles and to highlight the Certified Pre-Owned Warranty Program that is soon to be launched in the States. The competition is now closed but remember to check out all the great submissions, we would love to know which ones you think are worthy of the top prize.

Finally, Keith Adams, writing for ARonline, recently put the Defender through its paces across a range of terrains when he drove from Stonehenge in Wiltshire to the Gherkin in London. Find out how the Defender performed as a city car in his latest post.

We particularly liked this photo from the article as it carefully contrasts the rural Defender with the beautiful urban architecture of the Gherkin. This would be a great representation of ‘dynamic’ and could be used as inspiration for our latest photographic competition.

To be in with a chance of winning an exclusive Evoque bicycle, Olympus E-PL2 cameras and Land Rover Experience vouchers all you have to do is upload a photo that encapsulates ‘dynamic’ before the deadline on 15th August.

Submit your photo via the widget on our blog.

Best of luck.
