Zara Phillips becomes first proud owner of the Range Rover Evoque
Having grown up around Land Rovers, our ambassador Zara Phillips has always been a fan of the vehicles. So when the first pictures of the Range Rover Evoque were released over a year ago, she became one of the very first people to place an order.
Fast forward to the Land Rover Burghley Horse Trials this weekend just gone and Zara becomes the first person to take delivery of a brand new Range Rover Evoque. Upon receiving the keys to her 5-door Orkney Grey Evoque, Zara was delighted and exclaimed that the vehicle looked “absolutely fantastic”. Zara’s model comes with a 2.2 litre Diesel engine, 6-speed automatic transmission, panoramic sunroof and features such as park assist, blind spot monitoring and a surround camera system.
The Burghley Horse Trials event seemed the perfect place to hand over the keys to the very first Range Rover Evoque, considering that it was our seventh year of sponsoring the event and that Zara herself was competing in it. Over 60 Land Rovers were used by Competition officials, fence judges and medical teams and the full Land Rover lineup was proudly displayed to everyone that attended.
The Range Rover Evoque officially enters UK showrooms this week but is already proving a hit with customers. We’ve received over 20,000 pre-orders worldwide with 6,000 of these in the UK.
