Celebrating the 50th Anniversary of The Land Rover Burghley Horse Trials
Widely recognised as the pinnacle of the autumn Eventing season, the Land Rover Burghley Horse Trials are this year celebrating a half-century of top competition. Although the very first event took place in 1961, Land Rover have been closely associated with this prestigious competition since the early 1990’s, becoming official sponsors in 2005.
This year, the event will be taking place from the 1st – 4th September at the Burghley Estate in Lincolnshire. It promises to be simply un-missable for Land Rover fans. Those in attendance can expect the complete Land Rover model range on display, a hospitality pavilion and the famed Land Rover Experience. Those participating in the Land Rover Experience will be treated to a bit of off-roading action in the form of a passenger ride over a purpose-built course located by the Lion Bridge. Additionally, there will be a full fleet of more than 60 support vehicles for competition officials, veterinary teams and competitors.
Those who have been patiently awaiting the Range Rover Evoque launch or hoping to see one in the flesh will be delighted to hear that the Evoque will be leading the full vehicle line-up. The Evoque was recently named Auto Express Car of the Year in the New Car Awards.
Land Rover owners visiting Burghley will also have the privilege of being able to park in a dedicated forward Land Rover car park, located close to the lake.
